Angular Engineer

We have combined a highly experienced investment team with powerful financial technology and have raised £37m over 4 rounds from high-profile City executives and entrepreneurs.
These include ICAP Founder Michael Spencer, Stuart Rose ex-CEO of M&S and ex-chairman of Ocado, Harvey McGrath ex-CEO of MAN Group and Jupiter’s vice-chairman Edward Bonham Carter.
We are looking for a Mid-Level Angular Engineer to join our team and help us continue to develop and innovate our website and mobile optimised applications.
You'll be involved in all aspects of our software and product development lifecycle including stakeholder and design discussions, planning, presentations and demos, testing, knowledge sharing and devOps.
You will be encouraged to continually advance your technical and softs skills using our Career Growth Framework and given time for training and personal development.
You will be managed and mentored by a Senior Engineer and in return, be asked to mentor and support your peers in their own growth and success.

Since Netwealth's inception we have been meticulously building a talented, welcoming and effective Engineering team - developers, product designers and testers. We've invested in Angular and NGRX as our frontend framework of choice. We are continuually accelerating our development in these areas. A great user experience is crucial to our brand identity and we're looking for more creative developers to build on the great work we've already done.
What you will learn
You'll learn, and share, fresh ideas and techniques with other frontend Engineers. You will dive deep into the Angular framework, TypeScript, frontend testing, NgRx, RxJS, Azure DevOps, Kanban, and all the patterns and practices that are needed to create modern web applications.
You won't be pigeon-holed as one type of Engineer. There are opportunities to grow and learn into other technical areas and bring your own ideas to the table.
In Engineering, we strive to continually improve in all aspects of efficiency, security, and quality and how best to efficiently improve our Clients' experience.
You'll gain exposure to and learn about Finance and Discretionary Wealth Management.

Skills and experience
Must haves
- Experience using Angular 2+ to create applications
- A good understanding of common frontend design patterns
- The ability to turn complex requirements into simple and elegant solutions
- Knowledge of how to apply web application best practices
- NgRx/Redux experience, the RxJS library and the Observer/Observable pattern
- Good knowledge of using Git for source control
- Strong JavaScript knowledge and practical experience of TypeScript
- Experience writing unit tests using Karma, Jasmine or Jest
- CSS Experience / knowledge of CSS grid
Nice to haves
- Domain Driven Design
- Financial or investment software development
- C#, .NET or Azure cloud experience
- Experience of building Progressive Web Apps
- Worked with Visual Studio Code tooling
- Worked in an Agile environment using the Kanban or SCRUM process
