Associate C# Azure Developer (RAD/SRE)

Fully Remote or London based | Engineering | Full time

About Netwealth

Netwealth is a pioneering wealth manager with a hybrid model that blends deep human expertise with the power of modern technology. Founded in early 2016 by Charlotte Ransom and Thomas Salter – former Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan executives – we combine a highly experienced investment team with powerful technology and financial tools.

Our wealth management service targets a mass-affluent and high-net-worth audience (with clients investing on average around £500,000 across ISAs, Pensions and GIAs), where clients can either choose their portfolios online or access our comprehensive financial planning service. The portfolios are then managed by a highly seasoned investment team and all clients can speak with qualified financial advisers at any time to get help with their financial affairs.

The position

We are looking for a C# Azure Developer to join our RAD/SRE team and help us provide Support and Rapid Application Development services to our internal business departments.

Mentored by a more senior Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of the RAD software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, planning, design, coding, and testing.

You will be enrolled into our Growth Framework which will guide you and help you advance your career at Netwealth.

Who should apply for this position?

You have already had at least one permanent position developing C# applications, but feel like you need a change or an acceleration in your growth. You might have been exposed to a cloud development platform and have decided that this is the way forward for modern software development. You want to learn all aspects of the cloud development including security, scalability, performance, DevOps and serverless.

Why this role is important

RAD/SRE (Rapid Application Development / Site Reliability Engineering) is a critical team for Netwealth. The role will be split between Support and RAD, with the long term goal of making the support side of the role as near to redundant as possible.

We've spent the past ten years meticulously building an incredible development team - developers, product managers, designers and QA engineers. We've invested in Azure as our cloud platform provider and now we want to further expand our Engineering team in this area. You will be leveraging this tech to help support and build better, more scalable products for our internal business departments and end users.

What you will learn

You will learn, and share, fresh ideas and techniques with other C# and RAD/SRE Engineers. These will include deep language knowledge, Domain Driven Design (DDD), Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS), Event Sourcing (ES), Azure PaaS (e.g. Azure Data Factory), Microservices, DevOps, and hands-on Agiles methodologies.

You'll gain exposure to and learn about Finance and Discretionary Wealth Management.

We invest in your growth using our Engineering Growth Framework which will guide you and help you advance your career at Netwealth.
