The position
Netwealth is looking for a Data Engineer to join our growing data team. We've recently started leveraging Azure Synapse Analytics as our strategic analytics platform, and we're looking for data engineers with specific experiencing of using the many aspects of this platform.
Who should apply for this position?
You've been using Azure Synapse Analytics to gain insights into disparate sets of business data for at least 18 months. You're able to understand the insights and visualisations required from different business units; source, ingest, and manipulate the raw data, and then expose it to visualisation tools via SQL Views. You have experience of working in a collaborative, iterative manner with other data engineers and Business Analysts in order to quickly home in on the desired results. Ideally, you've also set up and configured workspaces and have a good understanding of the security and auth aspects of the platform.
Why this role is important
Understanding data is critical to Netwealth's success. We have an existing MI platform, but we recognise the additional benefits that a modern, serverless analytics platform can give us. You'll work closely with BAs, quant developers, and machine learning engineers to unearth, as yet, unseen insights into our data that will drive business decisions.
What you will learn
You'll learn, and share, fresh ideas and techniques with other engineers. You'll work closely with BAs, quants, ML engineers, and software engineers where you'll "cross-pollinate" knowledge and working practices. You'll also gain direct knowledge into how a modern wealth management company functions.
