Senior Product Designer

The position

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Product Designer with a focus on UI and UX to join our design team and help continue building our online web apps.

Working with our dedicated UX designer and our development teams you will be crafting user experiences that touch every part of our service from discovery & conversion through to retention and client backend.

Primary responsibilities will be working closely with our UX designer, product owner, engineering and stakeholders to oversee the user experience from conception to launch through wireframing, prototyping, motion design, high-end UI design and occasional marketing assets.

Who should apply for this position?

We are looking for someone with 5+ years experience and an overall good understanding of workflows between design and development teams, strategic planning and facilitation along with designing high-level interfaces. You may have experience in both in-house and agency and are now looking to establish yourself as a key member of a design team within an already successful but still young and expanding company.

Skills and experience

Must haves

• Partnering with our product owner, UX designer and highly-skilled development team to understand requirements and provide creative, thoughtful solutions.
• A strong portfolio of case studies showing your skills.
• A strategic thinker and an expert in translating user behaviour into great user experience and design.
• Strong design fundamentals including: design systems, typography, composition, attention to detail and visual design sensibility.
• Shape product strategy and vision together with our product owner.
• Explore a variety of design solutions and collaborate on choosing the correct path through wireframes and prototypes.
• Take design projects from kick-off meetings through to concept and final product.
• Maintaining brand consistency throughout all projects.
• A basic understanding of HTML and CSS to build in-browser prototypes where required.
• Participating in client meetings including presenting and asking questions to get the necessary information to complete projects.
• Iterate on your designs based on internal feedback, user feedback and business needs.
• A great communicator who potentially over-communicates little and often in order to maintain a smooth workflow with the other teams.
• Experience in designing for a wide range of devices and resolutions to make sure everything looks great everywhere.
• Expert proficiency with our main design tool Figma.
• A self-motivated desire to constantly learn and improve your craft.

Nice to haves

• Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud apps primarily Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Experience in creating illustrations.
• Experience in creating animations.
